Still Getting Ready For Easter

Scarlett and I started our Easter sugar cookies today. We turned on some Taylor Swift and got to work. I still have stacks and stacks of cookies to decorate but I am taking it slow this time so I wont get annoyed with it. I only did bunny faces and chicks today. I think they turned out okay!

New Bikes

We went out today and got the kids their new bikes. They were so excited to get them home and put them together. We laid a blanket down and the kids and Travis got to work. We let them ride around in the garage for a bit and then we braved the snow and wind and went for a ride around the block. Now that was a really windy, chilly ride!

I still have no photo editing software, well on my lap top. I could go down stairs and use one on the main computer but right now that seems like a lot of work. I hope Travis finds some time to fix it on my lap top.

Getting Ready For Easter

Technology hates me lately....Nothing works for me when I want it to work. Tonight the photo editing software I like will not work.....Annoying!

Anyway,

We have been getting ready for Easter. With the help of my sister Ashley we have decorated the windows with paper chains and Easter eggs. I found this egg craft randomly on the web and thought it looked easy so we gave it a try. Sharpening crayons to get their shavings is not fun. It took way to long and we wrecked 4 pencil sharpeners. However they did turn out quite pretty. We also made Easter inspired cupcakes yesterday which are all gone now (we love cupcakes). Also Scarlett has been enjoying this nice weather with one of her favorite activities, painting on the deck with water.

Extreme Weather

We spent the beautiful Saturday at the trailer. The kids played and had their first golf cart ride of the season. The day was great. The next day however....We awoke to gloomy clouds and later HAIL....

The hail came down so hard that I had to keep the kids away from the windows as I feared that they could break. We were also very lucky that our cars were parked in the garage. A lot of neighbours and friends had their cars dimpled by the hail. After it was done we headed into Nana and Papa Brown's for a BBQ. The rest of the day was warm, sunny and perfect!

Maybe More Later

Scarlett and I spent all morning outside at the park. It was nice to see our "park" friends. We haven't seen them all winter. We also went and feed Perry the lama and the deer. Perry was so excited to see us that he spit lettuce at me! Actually he was spitting at one of the deer that was trying to get his lettuce and ended up getting me. Scarlett said that Perry must not like me and only her. I am hoping to get more pictures today as it is so nice out! I am trying to get Scarlett to go outside again but she is stating that it is just too cold.....what?

Tub Swimming

Ronyn has been suffering from a rip roaring (that's what the doc said) ear ache for the past week. We just took him to the doctors today about it. I feel so bad for making him wait a week but it is really hard to read his pain tolerance. He hides it very well and can handle pain like a champ. He is now on some meds and on the road to recovery. He has been really sensitive with the ear ache and when he asked to wear his swim suit in the tub because he thought it would be funny I could not say no. They had so much fun pretending they were in a real pool, I just hope this does not turn into a reoccurring thing.

Sugar Bush

I met my sister and her kids, my mom and step dad and niece Abbie and Nana Lynn at McCully's Hill Farm for their Sugar Bush tour. We thought it was going to be a beautiful day but it ended up being very windy and somewhat chilly. The kids had a blast and played really well. I think the best part was the Maple Syrup cotton candy! I think my family and I bought every bag they had for sale!
