Tangled Banana Cream Pie

Boy have I been busy lately! Ronyn came down with a little bug Sunday night that continued Monday and then disappeared this afternoon. Travis has been extra busy with work so I have had to take over his night time share of parenting so I have not really had to much spare time!

Nana Brown let us borrow her movie Tangled (cute movie by the way) and now they are hooked. Nana made Scarlett's hair look like Rapunzel's hair when she had it braided by the little girls. All the flowers in her hair are made of tissue paper. How creative is she! It is not often to see Scarlett with her hair all tied back as she prefers to wear it long. We also made banana cream pie and chocolate cream pie. YUMMY.

Peanut Butter, Jelly and Shoes

Scarlett and I went to lady's house today to look at an activity table she had on kijiji and before we left she asked Scarlett if she liked to dress up and then gave her a BIG box of princess shoes. I wish I had my camera to capture the smile on her face. Clipity Clop Clipity Clop was the sound I heard all afternoon.

Because We Love Them

Sometimes it is just nice to receive a present. Today I received an Old Navy package in the mail. Since it was for the boys (Ronyn and Travis) Scarlett and I decided to wrap it up and give it to them as a present just because we love them. I helped Scarlett wrap them and she made cards for them. She then hid them in the dirty laundry so they wouldn't find them. After we were all done dinner Scarlett surprised them with their presents. Travis got a superman T-shirt and Ronyn got a Hulk and Darth Vader T-shirt. I was very surprised that Scarlett kept the secret all through dinner. I thought for sure that she would tell them.

These are some pics I took this morning after I got Ronyn on the bus. Scarlett and I decided to stay outside. While she played on her trike I picked stones (I think I got most of them!) and took some pictures. I love outside!

What A Silly Kid

We had a great afternoon with Ashley today. I tried to get a nice picture of the kids with her but Ronyn wanted to be silly instead!

Spring is Growing

We went to Nana Browns for dinner tonight and brought the kids bikes so they could ride them up and down her nice concrete driveway. We still have a stone driveway which I hate as every spring I have to pick stones from the lawn from the snow blower. This year I am bribing the kids with McDonald's so they will help me! I also hope we can get our driveway finished this year!

Scarlett and Ronyn also need new bikes. Ronyn is on board and very excited. Scarlett on the other hand has a hard time with change. She says her trike is special to her and that she does not want a 4 wheeled bike only a 3 wheel bike. I told her she could get a bike with a basket, bell and lots of streamers, she looked excited but then asked if she could put a basket and streamers on her 3 wheeled bike instead. Maybe going to the bike store will help her change her mind.

While playing outside I noticed that Lynn's garden has lots of things sprouting! I love finding some of the first signs of spring. We also saw our first robin yesterday. I seen lots of them today as well! YAAAA For Spring!!!!

The Mudbox aka The Sandbox

Today we opened up the sandbox and we found MUD! So while I BBQ dinner, the kids made mud pies for dessert! No we actually had mini ice cream cones with sprinkles!
