Tangled Banana Cream Pie

Boy have I been busy lately! Ronyn came down with a little bug Sunday night that continued Monday and then disappeared this afternoon. Travis has been extra busy with work so I have had to take over his night time share of parenting so I have not really had to much spare time!

Nana Brown let us borrow her movie Tangled (cute movie by the way) and now they are hooked. Nana made Scarlett's hair look like Rapunzel's hair when she had it braided by the little girls. All the flowers in her hair are made of tissue paper. How creative is she! It is not often to see Scarlett with her hair all tied back as she prefers to wear it long. We also made banana cream pie and chocolate cream pie. YUMMY.

Peanut Butter, Jelly and Shoes

Scarlett and I went to lady's house today to look at an activity table she had on kijiji and before we left she asked Scarlett if she liked to dress up and then gave her a BIG box of princess shoes. I wish I had my camera to capture the smile on her face. Clipity Clop Clipity Clop was the sound I heard all afternoon.

Because We Love Them

Sometimes it is just nice to receive a present. Today I received an Old Navy package in the mail. Since it was for the boys (Ronyn and Travis) Scarlett and I decided to wrap it up and give it to them as a present just because we love them. I helped Scarlett wrap them and she made cards for them. She then hid them in the dirty laundry so they wouldn't find them. After we were all done dinner Scarlett surprised them with their presents. Travis got a superman T-shirt and Ronyn got a Hulk and Darth Vader T-shirt. I was very surprised that Scarlett kept the secret all through dinner. I thought for sure that she would tell them.

Morning Pictures

These are some pics I took this morning after I got Ronyn on the bus. Scarlett and I decided to stay outside. While she played on her trike I picked stones (I think I got most of them!) and took some pictures. I love outside!

What A Silly Kid

We had a great afternoon with Ashley today. I tried to get a nice picture of the kids with her but Ronyn wanted to be silly instead!

Spring is Growing

We went to Nana Browns for dinner tonight and brought the kids bikes so they could ride them up and down her nice concrete driveway. We still have a stone driveway which I hate as every spring I have to pick stones from the lawn from the snow blower. This year I am bribing the kids with McDonald's so they will help me! I also hope we can get our driveway finished this year!

Scarlett and Ronyn also need new bikes. Ronyn is on board and very excited. Scarlett on the other hand has a hard time with change. She says her trike is special to her and that she does not want a 4 wheeled bike only a 3 wheel bike. I told her she could get a bike with a basket, bell and lots of streamers, she looked excited but then asked if she could put a basket and streamers on her 3 wheeled bike instead. Maybe going to the bike store will help her change her mind.

While playing outside I noticed that Lynn's garden has lots of things sprouting! I love finding some of the first signs of spring. We also saw our first robin yesterday. I seen lots of them today as well! YAAAA For Spring!!!!

The Mudbox aka The Sandbox

Today we opened up the sandbox and we found MUD! So while I BBQ dinner, the kids made mud pies for dessert! No we actually had mini ice cream cones with sprinkles!

Spent The Afternoon At The Beach

We went to Goderich today and spent the afternoon at the beach. We played at the park, made our first sandcastle this year and we looked for special rocks and beach glass. We then met Nana and Papa Brown and went to the Pizza Hut Buffet for lunch. We then checked out the light house and cannon. It was a beautiful day and I am so glad we spent it outside.

Spring Is In The Air

Today Nana Lynn, Ronyn, Scarlett and I went on a walk to enjoy the beautiful day. It felt great to get outside and I was able to be more creative with my pictures.

Miss Vaughn

This morning we had a playdate with the Mulhollands. My friend April brought over her two little munchkins Magnus and Vaughn. Miss Vaughn is such a smiley baby! After lunch my Dad came for a visit and disrupted quiet time with doughnuts! The kids thought it was great and anyway who needs quiet time? (ME!!!) He also brought Scarlett some furbies. My Dad collected them when they were the Happy Meal toy in 1998. They were very dusty so Scarlett gave them all a bath in the bathroom sink!

Mondays Post

My friend Kelly is home from BC and she is 30 weeks pregnant. She had a gathering at her moms house Monday evening for all her hometown friends to come for a visit. We all brought our kids and we had a great time chatting while the kids all got along and played amazingly well. My great friend April made her famous cake pops for everyone! Are they not just the cutest little things!

Busy Day

We went to Keydens 5th birthday party at my moms today. The cousins got to run around and play which they all enjoyed. I never got too many good pictures (as you can see) as they never wanted to sit still long enough. I wouldn't want to sit still either when I have my cousins to play with and you don't get to see them too often. Neely was also showing me how she is ready to get on the move and join in on all the action with older ones!

Sweet Sicky

Even with her nose full of boogers, eyes full of goop and her chest full of gunk, she is still the sweetest little baby with the biggest blue eyes!

Muffins & Smoothies

Today I kept my word and we made homemade blueberry streusel muffins and fruit smoothies. The muffins were so yummy. The smoothies were good too! I put the smoothies in big tall glasses and gave them some fun straws. The drinks were so tall that Scarlett felt that she needed to stand on her chair and drink it.

Buddha and Books

We never had a productive day here today. That seems to be the norm around here lately. The kids played, I put laundry away and we just hung out. Tomorrow might be the exact same ( I think). We might do some baking and make some smoothies. Next week is March break so I am hoping we can get out of the house and get busy.

My sister and I bought these Buddha's what seems like years ago. I don't practise Buddhism I just think he is cute and chubby. He also holds the kids books up pretty well.

Back To Be Being Silly

After dinner the kids seem to perk up and started to be themselves. FINALLY! They started being silly, jumping, running and laughing. It is a great feeling that they are back! Here they are after bath time having an arm wrestle. They don't do it right and they both always seem to win but I don't care I am just glad my happy babies are back!

Still No Pictures

I can't believe how much this flu has taken out of my kids. They have been down and out again today with a nagging, nasty cough. Ronyn's eye's are glossy and he looks really tried. I think he will be staying home from school again tomorrow. Scarlett has this annoying cough, I feel so bad for her. She only has an appetite for ice cream so that is what she's been eating. We did celebrate pancake day today! I love pancake day or I just love having breakfast for dinner. So yummy.

Influenza

The kids and I have been down and out with the flu this past little while. It came on fast! I am happy to say we are on the mend. We now have a bad cold but we are pretty much back to our normal selves. I hope to get my camera back out tomorrow!

My Little Beauty

Feeling Like...

Poop! I haven't been feeling the greatest the past 2 days so I haven't taken any pictures. I did pull out my camera tonight after bath and got a picture of the kids doing their "Minion" face from the movie Magamind. Scarlett is in love with this character and thinks "he is just too cute!" I hope to start feeling better and get more creative with my pictures. I also hope spring like weather comes soon...
