Collage

Boy I haven't posted in awhile! We have been busy with swimming every Saturday (which the kids love) and have been enjoying spending time with family and friends. I also have been booking up my evenings with some "me" time. I have my night shoot with my camera class this week which I am very excited about. Hopefully I will have some great shots to share!

Do you see the BIG bruise on Scarlett's head in the collage? She keeps hitting her head in the same spot over and over again. First it was the door frame, then Ronyn tried to lift her up and she bumped it on a door lock. Why is it that a bruise looks worse as it get better?

Flower Toes and Glasses

I am still here! I have not forgotten about my blog. I find that I tend to slow down when summer hits. Also when my sister Ashley starts to complain that I have not posted in 11 days I guess I am way past due! This one's for you Ash!

My photography course is going great! I am learning lots. My new favorite thing is the Bulb function on my camera. I had no clue it was there and if it was not for this class I would have never found it! I also learned I want a tri-pod. We need one for our next class as it is shooting night pictures in downtown Stratford. So excited!

Oh and Scarlett does not need glasses. These are my old frames from collage that I have popped the lenses out. I have noticed her wearing them often around the house.

We are taking the kids to the Zoo tomorrow. SSSSHHHHH they have no clue...They will find out when they wake in the morning.....Hoping for Nice weather tomorrow!

Just A Little Static

Our little plastic climber is a static machine. The kids got a kick out of Scarlett's hair being a little charged up!

Aperture

I had my first photography class tonight. We learned the basics of our camera's and how sun light can effect your pictures. Our first lesson is Aperture. I find it all a bit confusing, but I think with a little extra work on my part this class is going to be good for me. I hope by the end I will become great friends with Manuel! I even have my first photography assignment...

First Swim & "The Lauren"

The kids had their first swimming lesson on Saturday. They were so excited! They both had a great time and they cant wait to go back. I was so nervous for Scarlett though (Not Ronyn as I have already had this experience with him) because they made them jump in the pool, to the instructor, and then just left them bobbing around! It is a small, shallow pool (it was up to her neck) and she was perfectly safe but the look of fear and uncertainty on her face was so apparent I just wanted to jump in and "save" her! She bobbed her way to the edge of the pool to grasp the side and then started to test the water. I was so proud of her when I seen her frightened face turn into a BIG smile as she conquered her fear and she knew for herself that she was safe! She then proceeded to bobb around the entire pool!

We call this dress "The Lauren" as it was made by Nana Brown from a shirt that was once Laurens!
