Their First Taste Of Snow!

Literally it was their first taste of snow! When I woke up this morning and seen the street was covered in a blanket of fresh snow I knew Ronyn and Scarlett would be excited. So much excited that they wanted to go play at 7:00 a.m. Instead we headed out 1/2 hour before the bus came to play in the first snowfall of the year. We had a snowball fight, made snow angels, they ate some snow (well a lot of snow) and also made our first snowman. Just before I took the snowman picture the wind picked up and a mini snow storm came through. It was so intense that Ronyn had a hard time looking at the camera. I have to say I am excited about snow this year. I am going to embrace it and enjoy it! Weather we like snow or not it is coming and we can not stop it....

Halloween

Mermaid Scarlett (a little unhappy here)

Black Ops Ronyn (Yeah I know he is young for this game, take it up with his dad)

Zombies ready for black and orange day at school

Cake pops I made for Ronyn & Scarletts class - NEVER AGAIN

They always tend to stand on their chairs at the table

Halloween has come and gone but I wanted to post some pictures of the kids. Scarlett was a mermaid. Her costume was hand made by Nana Brown and then embellished a bit by Scarlett herself. She made her own mermaid crown (which she wore to school with princess dress) and added Auntie Ashley's boobie shells (as Scarlett calls them) and picked out just the right amount of jewellery. Ronyn was a war guy. He at the last moment wanted to change his costume (this happens every year) to a ninja but he doesn't even have a ninja costume. I convinced him to be half ninja half war guy and he was happy! For the school Halloween celebration they got to wear black and orange. The kindergartners were allowed to wear a simple costume, Scarlett chose a princess dress and her homemade crown. The grade one's however were not allowed. Ronyn thought this was very unfair and wished he was a kindergartner. I guess I would be upset too! I also offered to make a treat for both their classes. The kids seen my magazine with Halloween cake pops and wanted them. I thought I would give it a try. After getting lots of advice from my friend April (she makes them and sells them, She is AWESOME at it!) I wish I would have just bought them from her! My mummies turned out ok (hence the picture) but the cats looked more like mice and cats that got into cat fights. They are very time consuming and very frustrating when they are constantly falling of the the stick. I don't think I would make these again. I did however get a lovely gift from my sister Sara, a cake pop maker. I can't wait to perfect it because as of right now all I get is half a round cake pop with a funny top!

Before & After

Travis has done a little renovation on our bedroom. I have always hated the carpet in the bedrooms as it is too light of a color. I don't know what we were thinking when we built the house to put almost white carpet in bedrooms. Since we had some left over flooring from our basement we decided to put it in our room. I must say I love it. I can't wait to get the other rooms done!

Just Some Randoms...

This is just some randoms from Thanksgiving. It was such a beautiful day and I actually got some really good pictures. Things are not interesting around here lately. I take this as a good thing. I am trying to soak up the nice weather before the snow hits and become house bound. I still can't believe Christmas is right around the corner, didn't we just celebrate Christmas?
